Harry Potter, Day 14

I am somewhere in the middle of the book right now. Chapter 24. It is the part where Ginny is in the bath imagining Harry coming back to her after his long, hard quest.*

You thought I was joking when I said this would take me a month to read?

*My own imagination is but one obstacle I have to overcome when reading.

genius, ADD or no ADD, i respect you far more for reading it at a civil pace than all those crazies who stayed up all of the first weekend to get it done. people should only be that extreme about sports. and internet gambling.

Anand,

Yeah i try to be reasonable about it. Your right it isn't like it is...oh look, something shiny!

GkL,

It seems you would only be interested in MY version.

Naranja Grande,

I have the regular cover art too, I just wanted a more interesting pic for the post. This is the UK Adult version. (But not "adult" in the way Kristi (and me for that matter) is hoping.) and I should not even be reading this yet. I have been waiting for them all to come out in paperback, but broke down because this was the last one.

Speaking as one of those crazies, I read it in the first weekend because I wanted to make sure I found out what happened on my own and not from some wanker who wanted to ruin it for me ::CoughbigorangeCough::

I read the Prisoner of Azkabahn in one weekend. That one is still my favorite. I have mellowed since. But I have a hrad time believeing that I would be able to avoid all spoilers until the paperback. I was actually avoiding your blog for a few days out of that fear.

I would never spoil Harry Potter for anyone! You can be safe looking at mine. In fact, I left a Smith's lyric as a reaction to finishing the book; I thought would move you to comment and it didn't. :-(

When i saw it was a Harry Potter post I purposely didn't read it. I am sorry I missed that. I feel honored. I am sorry, that was sweet!

As compensation, I will bump you up on my link list.

[Wife #1], who has trouble finding time to read these days, started listening to the audio version. She placed her reservation at the library for the last one and is currently 1042 in line.

I'll call her up and read it to her over the phone whenever she is ready. I do great Foley work too.

Thank you, Evil Genius. You are forgiven. And you didn't have to bump me up, but I'm enough of a famewhore that I won't tell you not to.

Keep working that Ginny/Harry thing... You may find a real niche for yourself in the fanfic category. I haven't read any myself, but I understand there are whole novels out there -- thing like Harry & Draco running off together, etc.

Flann,

You are welcome.

BSUWG,

No one would read my Harry Potter. It would be severely dark and full of sex, vilence and sarcasm. Who wants to read anything like that?
