It is concrete evidence of a connection being made, and not a connection between two computers, but a connection between two humans. And that connection builds into a friendship, and sometimes more.
As a writer, having instant feedback has done wonders for my skills. I have an audience, who have distinct opinions about everything and I've had to pay attention and get to know the people behind them. In some ways, I hone what I'm saying for maximum effect, and therefore, maximum comments.
But the best part of getting comments is researching the profiles behind them and delving into the minds and thoughts of those brave people putting it all out there. I have found more people like me out there than I ever imagined, which sucks a little bit because it debunks my own myths about my uniqueness. However, I'd take the comraderie over individuality in this instance; the benefits have been countless.
So thanks for all the comments and for giving me the opportunity to comment back. This has been Flannery Alden, your guest blogger for the week. I hope you've enjoyed it. Let me know what you think by posting a comment.
