The Smiths Lyric of the Week

"Heavy words are so lightly thrown, but still I'd leap in front of a flying bullet for you."

Decent, not really up there with Jethro Tull's "Snot is running down his nose", but OK...

Trashcan Sinatras Lyric of the Week:
"you can fool some people all the time
and you can suffer fools some of the time
you can even fool all the people
all of the time...
but you cannae kid yourself"

Who needs a Shakespeare sonnet when you have Moz?

It's one thing to say you would jump in front of a flying bullet, but I'm thinking that your reflexes aren't quite that good. Unless you're Superman. Wonder if I would know if you were...

I counter with Pearl Jam Lyric of the Week:

"I will hold the candle till it burns up my arm

Oh, I'll keep takin' punches until their will grows tired

Oh, I will stare the sun down until my eyes go blind

Hey, I won't change direction, and I won't change my mind"

-Indifference

I totally ripped off the idea behind the record sleeve for "What Difference Does It Make."

The Smiths issued a now rare original with Terrance Stamp. He then said no to the idea so the band re-issued the single with Morrissey striking the same pose.

I miss that band.
