Don't Call it a Comeback

Since Mickey Rourke won the Golden Globe for best actor, here is a list of other actors I feel are poised for a comeback in 2009:
  • Jan Michael Vincent
  • The California Raisins
  • Charles Nelson Riley
  • Shia LeBeouf
  • That one guy from that show that used to be on
  • Ernest Borgnine
  • Downtown Julie Brown
  • The Unknown Comic
  • Sharon Gless
  • Nancy Glass
  • and Adrea "Kimmy" Barber

Did I see Julie Brown in some kiddie show on tv? Love the list, brimming with evil.

Charles Nelson Riley is still in negotiation with Hollywood Squares for the coveted middle square.

Charles Nelson Reilly had a very nice stage career, including at least one Tony (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Nelson_Reilly). He was a native New Yorker and both an actor and Director. I remember him once saying that directing is 90% casting, which my (limited) experience has borne out.

But apparently he passed away in '07 so maybe not so much with the comeback at this point.

Thanks. Thanks for explaining that he's dead, thereby ruining that half of the joke. You want to explain how Shia LeBouf's career is still in full swing, thereby negating the need for a comeback?

I'm voting for the Unknown Comic.

You and I both know it's silly but I wouldn't mind a Jan Michael Vincent comeback. We could call it "Airwolf II, the later years" but we would have to find a new codger to play Ernest Borgnine's part. Even if he was alive, I'd recast him. I'd suggest George Carlin but he's dead too. Who would you recommend?

That is the funny thing, Doc. Ernest Borgnine is still alive. But I would go with Michael Chiklis.

I'm putting my money on Sharon Gless.

She's not dead too, is she?
